David Scott
Managing Director
David has a wealth of experience in the educational sector having recently held the position of Curriculum & Quality Manager at New College Lanarkshire, where he has worked for over 8 years. David now holds the position of Managing Director at Skills for Security, the industries leading training provider. David has been instrumental in improving the standard of training throughout the UK and widening participation, getting more young people into jobs. Having come through an apprenticeship himself and qualified to degree level in both teaching and management, David recently became an accredited chartered manager with the Chartered Management Institute. He is passionate about the security industry and his goal is to raise apprenticeship participation, employer engagement in training and continuously drive industry improvements by raising the standard of training delivered throughout the UK.
Jan Lindeberg
Senior Product Manager
Jan Lindeberg joined Milestone Systems in 2009. During the 10 years, Jan has held a number of different product management-, marketing- and business development roles. Jan has recently taken up a position as Senior Product Manager, with special focus on cloud and service platforms. Prior to joining Milestone, Jan has 15+ years of product management experience from a number of high-tech companies including Ericsson and Anritsu. Jan has studied Economics and Marketing at Upsala University, Sweden, and he holds a Master in Science from Technical University of Denmark within the area of Mobile Internet Communication.

Will Lloyd
FIA Technical Team
Will Lloyd is one of the FIA Technical Team. As a Technical Manager he represents the FIA on several British Standards committees, provides technical support to members and is the secretary to the FIA Fire Risk Assessment Council and the FIA Fire Engineering Council. With a long history of working within the fire & security industry, starting out installing fire detection & alarm systems. He has previously worked for the Fire and Security Association and represented them on numerous British Standards committees. Will was the scheme manager for the BAFE SP203 & BAFE SP205 certification schemes operated by the ECA certification company. Prior to joining the FIA worked for 2 years at the Building Research Establishment (BRE) as Product Development Manager for the Electronic Security Team. As one of the trainers Will has been the key author of the new FIA qualification training courses.

Matthew Holliday

Matthew has over 30 years’ experience in the electronic security industry including 12 years representing the electronic security installation sector as a subject expert at BSI and CENELEC. At the start of 2019 Matthew joined the National Security Inspectorate (NSI), the wholly independent UKAS accredited certification body operating in the Security Systems, Fire Safety and Guarding sectors. As Technical Manager in the Standards Department, Matthew is responsible for representing the NSI on BSI and CENELEC technical electronic security industry committees, project managing changes to and the development of new NSI Codes of Practices and management of both internal and external technical queries. As NSI’s ‘Technical Manager’, Matthew has responsibility for managing the pipeline of changes to standards and Codes of Practice, reviewing technical standards and developing relevant documentation including technical bulletins & change notifications for NSI approved companies.

With over 45 years’ service at Abel Alarm Company Ltd, Pat is a well-known and highly respected figure in the Fire and Security Systems sector. His responsibilities as Director covered management and administration teams, overseeing Abel branch operations for quality assurance, conformity, health and safety. In addition also directed operations at Communication and Monitoring Centre (CMC) in ARC and RVRC functions

A technology leader capable of transitioning organisations from their legacy inherited architectures to more effective information based organisations capable of leveraging their most valuable asset, customer data, to become true market leaders, bringing together the top engineering talent and innovative technology solutions to deliver the operational business outcome companies require. Having spent over a decade developing Data Governance Solutions including migrating unstructured legacy content systems and integrating Object Based Storage models to supply application agnostic data across businesses. Over the last 5 years I have focused on combating fraud in the Insurance and Automotive sectors developing covert telematics IoT solutions and providing expert witness support to both Regional Police Agencies and National Criminal Agencies in combating Overt Criminal Gang activities. Being a Scientist at heart I ensure the same rigour is applied to data visibility, retention, and governance compliance functions as was applied to my former research in biological science.
